Today we did some tests, added a bottle Dr. Tim’s one and only and dosed the ammonia to 2ppm.
We are running for the first 2 weeks at 83° and 20ppt salinity which is supposed to help encourage bacteria colonization. In two weeks we’ll lower the temperature to 80° and raise the salinity to 35ppt.
Inital testing
- pH – 8.0
- NH₃ (Ammonia) – 0.25 ppm
- NO₂ (Nitrite) – 0 ppm
- NO₃ (Nitrate) – 0 ppm
- Temperature – 82.3° F
- Salinity – 20ppt
Dosed 4ml ammonia chloride and 1 bottle of Nitrifying Bacteria.
